As the festive season approaches, the Dryden Enterprise Centre team is preparing for a well-earned break – and we hope you are too! To ensure everything runs smoothly, here’s everything you need to know about our Christmas closure dates and how it might affect your access and activities at DEC.

When is DEC Closing?

The centre will be unstaffed from 6.00pm on Friday 20th December until 8.30am on Monday 6th January. During this time, the NTU Enterprise team will be off-site, but the building will remain accessible to full members only.

What Does This Mean for You?

  • Access: Full members will still be able to enter using their access pass. If you’re a flexible member, please note that there will be no access during the closure.
  • Meeting Rooms: Meeting rooms won’t be available for booking during this time.
  • Coffee Machine: The Hydration Station’s coffee machine will be taking a break too (we’ll miss it as much as you will!).

What Will Still Be Available?

  • The Lounge: Full members will still be able to use this space for work or to relax.
  • Hot Drinks: We’ll leave tea and coffee provisions in the kitchens so you can still enjoy a warm drink.

Visitors and Deliveries

If you’re expecting visitors, they’ll need to liaise with you directly for entry, as there won’t be any staff on-site to assist. Similarly, if you’re expecting parcels, please make sure you have a plan in place to collect them in person.

In Case of Emergency

If you need assistance or there’s an emergency, NTU’s Security Team is here to help. Their contact details are on the back of your access pass – keep it handy just in case.

Plan Ahead for a Smooth Festive Season

We hope this early notice gives you plenty of time to prepare. While we’ll miss the buzz of the DEC over the holidays, we’re looking forward to welcoming you back in January for an exciting and productive 2025.
